Met just a few others on the trail.  Going up, the route is straight forward.  Going down from the top signage could be better marked. The mess of social trails through the trees and salal obscure the main trail from the top to Quick Up.  Several of the social trails lead to the road and easy enough to pick up the main trails at a tight turn on the road/alternate trail head that you pass on the way up.

We combined this nice forested loop hike with a visit to Tulip Town.  We do the tulip thing every 5 years or so.  Got there at opening (9am) on a drizzly morning and it was not at all crowded.  It is expensive though. $17pp for 30min of tulip wandering.  The parking person said it was an absolute zoo on Sat afternoon.

Little Mountain is 15 min away.  The trail is beautifully maintained by the local community.  Nice big Doug Fir and a few Grand Fir on the Darvill and West Loop trails. Saw 2 friendly mountain bikers and 3 friendly hikers.

This is a fantastic place to start your Little Mountain hike.  The trailhead for the Darvill trail is easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled on the left.  Only parking for about 4 cars.  It's a nice, easy slope warmup before you get to the steeper stairs and switchbacks.  We pieced together about 8 miles here.  Best advice is to use your Gaia app or similar and just make sure you hit the high viewpoints once on your route.  Nothing here is too difficult or far from your car so no big deal if you make a few wrong turns.

The Bonnie and Clyde trail is a nice route to traverse the west side of the cliff.  Always interesting to see a rusting car and wonder how it got there!  This one had to tumble down from the top of the ridge, in the years before the trees got big.  1930's style car.

On a windy winter day we saw lots of folks out running, hiking, mountain biking, and tons of dogs.  What a great amenity for locals!

Great trail for a build your own adventure close to home. It's conveniently located for an after work jaunt or the trails can be combined into a full day rambling adventure. The trails are very well marked to inform you of multi use sections which is helpful! There are often mountain bikers or horses along different sections of trails. Overall, always a great space to go out and enjoy being in nature for a while without driving 2 hours to a trailhead.

A great network of well marked, intersecting trails make for a build your own adventure near Mount Vernon with two great viewing spots on the mountain. The mountain bike trails are clearly marked which I appreciated since I don’t enjoy dodging downhill bikers on the trail!
