Little Mountain Park - Darvill Loop — Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
North side viewpoint, don't miss it.

This is a fantastic place to start your Little Mountain hike.  The trailhead for the Darvill trail is easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled on the left.  Only parking for about 4 cars.  It's a nice, easy slope warmup before you get to the steeper stairs and switchbacks.  We pieced together about 8 miles here.  Best advice is to use your Gaia app or similar and just make sure you hit the high viewpoints once on your route.  Nothing here is too difficult or far from your car so no big deal if you make a few wrong turns.

The Bonnie and Clyde trail is a nice route to traverse the west side of the cliff.  Always interesting to see a rusting car and wonder how it got there!  This one had to tumble down from the top of the ridge, in the years before the trees got big.  1930's style car.

On a windy winter day we saw lots of folks out running, hiking, mountain biking, and tons of dogs.  What a great amenity for locals!

Old car on Bonnie and Clyde trail.
