Very hot day for hiking, but the falls were worth it! Accidentally came upon this hike after oversleeping a bit at our campsite and being too late to go on our longer-scheduled hike. The roads into the parking lot are rough, but once you get to the trail, everything is clear. Would've been a bit easier of a hike if it wasn't as hot/humid, but sitting and letting the mist of the falls hit us for a good bit after hiking up, helped a lot.

Hitting a few waterfalls on our way to Portland. Great little trail, road is in pretty good condition, some larger potholes but my wrx made it just fine. Trail is in good condition, huckleberries are ripe. Gorgeous waterfalls, get here early or wait until later so the sun is in a good spot. We scrambled up the pretty established trail to the upper falls, definitely worth it if your a good scrambler!

We arrived at the trail head a little before noon, finding 13 vehicles in the parking lot but with a number of folks packing up to leave.  We took trail #152A out to the falls, then backtracked a little to pick up the signed connector to trail #152.  We headed along trail #152 to both the first boot path (which had a slightly scenic overlook) and the second boot path (which followed a well defined scramble route) to view the upper falls.  Back at the main trail, we then back tracked but took #152 all the way to the parking lot.  #152 was far quieter than #152A (no one on it, not as much Creek noise); we flushed 3 grouse along the return, one of which eyed us suspiciously before fluttering further into the understory.  The return on trail #152 was well signed. We made it to the parking lot by 4:15 to find only a handful of vehicles in the lot.  A few vehicles were rolling in as we were leaving.  The overall totals were a little over 7 miles in a little over 4 hours.

Happy hiking!

The road to Falls creek trail head is a little rough, lots of pot holes. The trail is very well maintained and easy.

We went on Monday morning around 9 am and there were only a few other cars in the large parking lot. Even though the waterfall is starting to dry up a bit its still a great view and well worth the drive out there.

Trail 152A is in good condition all the way to the falls at the end. It's an easy hike until the second bridge. After that it is a bit more rough than the beginning but easily passable. The waterfall at the end is well worth the effort of getting there. The road in is clear of trees and other obstacles, but has several pot holes which would be hard to navigate with a vehicle that has low ground clearance.
