We arrived at the trail head a little before noon, finding 13 vehicles in the parking lot but with a number of folks packing up to leave. We took trail #152A out to the falls, then backtracked a little to pick up the signed connector to trail #152. We headed along trail #152 to both the first boot path (which had a slightly scenic overlook) and the second boot path (which followed a well defined scramble route) to view the upper falls. Back at the main trail, we then back tracked but took #152 all the way to the parking lot. #152 was far quieter than #152A (no one on it, not as much Creek noise); we flushed 3 grouse along the return, one of which eyed us suspiciously before fluttering further into the understory. The return on trail #152 was well signed. We made it to the parking lot by 4:15 to find only a handful of vehicles in the lot. A few vehicles were rolling in as we were leaving. The overall totals were a little over 7 miles in a little over 4 hours.
Happy hiking!
