The viewpoints are accessible by car during the summer so expect to see more people there than on the trail. There are about 10 parking spaces at the trail head, but the bathrooms are at the top, and you’ll find TP bits left in the woods near the parking area. (If you’re not able to take it with you at least bury it in the brush.) If you’re approaching from the north there’s a ranger station on Hwy 101 outside of Quilcene with restrooms, operating limited hours now.
The trail is in good condition and in the shade of the trees, but is a somewhat steep incline without much variation, so can be considered difficult. My companion and I kept to a pace allowing conversation and pauses as the temperature neared 80.
The views are expansive, although this day obscured by haze and distant smoke.
We descended on the gravel access road, which is longer but less of a grade, and has a couple additional views.

Great day hike but poles recommended. I did the Mt. Walker Loop per Alltrails which means descending on the road trail for total of 6.8 miles. Easier on the knees. Went to both north and south view points, which I recommend also. The road down can be dusty when cars pass and kick up dust, but very few cars passed (maybe 5?).  OVerall, a beautiful hike up!

The trail is nice, there are some bugs but they didn’t bother us as long as we were moving. You can smell the smoke from the bear gulch fire once you get up the mountain a little bit. The trail is very dry, and can be slippery if you’re not careful or don’t have good footwear. It was cloudy today, but the view on a clear day is amazing

Trail was easily accessible and well-maintained. No mud and no snow.

The trail is clear and lined with plenty of forest growth. Notable find for the day was wild ginger. This trail has such a significant incline that breaks were needed along the way, even though it is a short distance. I lost count of how many switchbacks to the top, but the elevation is good enough you can pop your ears about 5 times coming down. The view at the top was great, even with some intermittent clouds and fog. Was able to see Dabob bay, Hood Fjord, and even possibly as far as Bainbridge Island. Berries such as salal, huckle, and oregon grape were present but not yet ripe. Only wildlife present was (maybe) a douglas squirrel and a grey jay.

The parking at the trailhead was nearly full. If you are simply wanting to experience the view, drive the road to the top. Otherwise, be reminded of muscles you forgot you had.
