We're pretty novice hikers and this was a pretty strenuous climb for us. We arrived at the trail head around 10:30 and the parking was quite full. No privy at the trail head. It took about 1:45 to get up to the top (2 miles, relentless incline), spent about half an hour at the two summits (privy available), then made it back down in an hour. It was a hot day and the trees provided good shade but there was very little breeze. The views were excellent but very little of interest on the actual trail (though when the rhodies are in bloom, it would be lovely).

This hike was awesome! Super steep though. They’re not lying. We got there around 11 am on a Saturday and the little parking area was pretty full. It was a sweaty climb up and even with clouds, the view was beautiful! The mosquitos weren’t too bad on the hike itself, but once we stopped at the top they were kind of annoying. Took about half as long to go down as it did to go up.
