This was an access point to the PCT for a PCTA work party. We met some Forest Service staff on the way in and they cleared most obstacles in the first mile. On the way out on 7/20, the PCTA crew logged from Tieton Pass back toward the trailhead. Mile 2-3 are the worst with some fairly sizable burned blowdowns. They are navigable but not fun to deal with. There is also a some overgrowth that could use a trim in one section but it doesn't last for too long. There are some views of the Goat Rocks through the burn zone but if it's hot you'll be wishing for the green tunnel! TONS of berries!

Went from Scatter Creek TH up North Fork Tieton trail, then on the PCT to the trail to McCall Basin.
Trail was in great condition, no blowdowns or other obstacles. There was a group with 3 horses and a mule the day I hiked it, and I'm guessing that the backcountry horse people are doing trail maintenance on this route (the N Fk Tieton portion).
Only two other people camping in McCall Basin. Hiked up to Elk Pass the next day for the views, then back to the trailhead.
