I went on a quick trail run up to the middle summit of Rattlesnake Mountain from Snoqualmie Point Park and the trail is mostly in great condition. Starting at the parking lot at Snoqualmie Point Park, the men's restroom door does not close but otherwise it is in good shape. User beware if the lot is busy! Almost all of the blowdowns were cleared with just 3 small ones remaining above Grand Prospect that were all easy to get over (or under, in one case). You can see how much work the trail crews put into clearing this after the wind storm, there are sections where the forest is just littered with tree debris.
It was soaking rain the entire time, but the trail stayed pretty manageable and didn't really get very muddy with the exception of some of the ridge where there's no tree cover. Below Grand Prospect there's no snow at all.
The viewpoint itself at Grand Prospect was a sheet of ice. Extremely slick and no way around it. I penguin walked it and once you get to the trail on the other side it's clear again. Past that there is a bit of the dirt ice that we get sometimes on the trail up along the ridge for maybe a cumulative half mile. It's slick and hard to manage, but enough of the actual trail is exposed that you can straddle it and make it through. I didn't have spikes and didn't feel that they were necessary.
Overall a great run on a very poor conditions day, but a wonderful trail to do it on!

Chilly start on this beautiful day, which meant we had the trail mostly to ourselves until after lunch. Hiked from Snoqualmie Point TH to the middle peak of Rattlesnake Mtn (~10 mi roundtrip). There were only one or two remaining trees across the trail after last week's windstorm (thanks to all those who cleared downfall). Did encounter intermittent snow starting at Grand Prospect, which became more continuous higher on the mountain. It is a bit slick in compacted areas, but manageable in hiking boots.

Turkey Spot was the primary reason for coming here, but hiked Snoqualmie Point to East Peak first, then dropped back 1km and made turkey, stuffing, pot pie, spiked hot chocolate.
Snow above Prospect is easy in boots. A few blowdowns in the last km to peak. The last ten minutes to peak was icy but was able to descend without slipping.
Good views of the base of Rainier from the turkey spot, but the top was in the clouds.

It was a great day on the Rattlesnake Mountain-grand Prospect trail. Please be aware that there is snow up at the viewpoint. We did not need micro-spikes, but it could be icy. Make sure you have layers as it was considerably colder at the viewpoint as well. The trails were in great shape!
