The trail head is two turns off I-90 and much easier to find than the directions on this site make it seem. Take exit 20 and go south on 270th then West on 79th, then follow till trail head. I did not think the road was as bad as others have said either, I was able to drive 15 mph in my Jetta to the trail head. My pup and I did the Around the Lake Loop and went down Swamp Trail to the Powerlines, then doubled back down Swamp Trail. The trails were all in good condition and a portion of Around the Lake is paved and wheelchair accessible. The trees that were mentioned being down in March are all cleared now. There were roughly a dozen cars in the parking lot, but we only came across three sets of people on the trails. There is no "legal" access to the lake besides a few look-outs where you can see it through the trees. However, you can see where people walk down to the lake anyways. It is a little disorienting when you get there, as there are a lot of trail heads all in one place, but there are also big maps right off the lot.

Went for a trail run on the Tiger Mountain Tradition Plateau. These trails are great for trail running or just to get outdoors for a walk. They are ideal for younger kids. The trails are well maintained and the wooded views are beautiful. Parked at High Point along the paved road before the road turns into a gravel road heading into the park. Pass is not required if you park out on the paved road. Walked the trail from the paved road to the parking area to warm up. Started jogging at the restrooms on the West Tiger 3 trail, but instead of turning right to go up the mountain, turned left to the trail head for the Swamp Trail. The following trails connect and create a loop: Swamp Trail => Big Tree Trail => Adventure Trail => High School Trail => Bonneville Trail => Bus Trail => Connector Trail => Around The Lake Trail Map: http://issaquahalps.org/Portals/iatc/Docs/Tradition_Plateau_West_Tiger_Map_DNR_2012.pdf The loop takes about 45minutes at a comfortable jogging pace.

FYI This hike is 1.3 miles starting at the High Point Trail-head. The driving directions will start you at Issaquah HS which is about double that mileage.

We had a jam packed weekend and needed a super quick hike just to get the legs moving. The road past the gate had several potholes but was fairly easy to bypass if you go slow and maneuver a bit. We arrived at the trailhead at 2:30 pm. It was pouring pretty badly so there were only 3 or 4 cars in the lot. The hike itself is pretty flat with clearly marked gravel trail. At a point there is a large tree blocking the trail that requires you to slink underneath, otherwise, the trail was fairly clear. There is a nice bridge across a small creek that is in pretty good shape. Half of the loop is on gravel road that leads back to the parking lot. Otherwise, nice quick hike that served its purpose.
