Wonderful hike up to the waterfall. Trail is in great shape - no downed logs over trail (thank you to the work party!) and completely snow free. We only hiked to the waterfall and back, so I'm unsure of trail conditions beyond.

A group of sawyers from Evergreen Mt Bike Alliance worked on clearing logs and downfall most of the way to the waterfalls.  Trail should be good to go.

Between Rd 73 and the falls there are 4 or 5 big trees down across your path.  One is a messy Cedar with lots of branches to navigate thru.

Between the falls and the Buck Creek Road there are 4 or 5 bigs one you also need to navigate thru/over/under.

All doable but you earn it.

We hiked a mile in from FR 73 and stopped for some snacks but the wind picked up and was occasionally gusting, branches started falling and we heard thud thud thud all around us. We decided to turn around since we had our little hikers with us and it felt unsafe as we had cleared some debris at the beginning of the hike. Having hiked this trail many times we have seen how many trees come down along it annually. We saw one tree in the forest begin to fall with loud cracking and continued hiking out very quickly. We came across a large new branch that had fallen on the way back too, partially blocking the trail. Bear this in mind on windy days, this is not a safe trail. Overall we still had fun and snowflakes were falling. We saw 2 other parties hiking, hopefully the made it back safely. Stopped for treats at Wapiti Outdoors on the way home their oven is finally working so burritos are back! Yum!

I got this trail confused with the Skookum Falls trail, but it was still a nice little walk with the pups. Roads and trail were almost snow free with only a little bit of snow past the landing strip.

There was some hair ice on logs and it clearly had not gotten above freezing. I was a little bit surprised at how cold it was.

There are toilets at the campground but they are not stocked with TP.
