got there around 1030am parking lot was packed. Got lucky and found one spot. Trail was great. Seen some rock climbers. Today was perfect weather. Lots of people on the trail but everyone was really nice and friendly. When we got back to the car there was a small line of cars waiting to park.

Trail in great shape, with a lovely variety of wildflowers and a few early salmonberries. Main lot was full at 7:20 am; plenty of spots in the overflow lot. The hike up to the summit was quiet (except for birdsong) and serene. On the hike back around 9 am, I passed many people on their way up. There seemed to be sufficient space between groups, and only one was playing music. Both lots were full by then. Beautiful morning.

Surprisingly not as crowded as I thought but I think the smaller parking lot deters crowds. My 4.5 year old hiked the whole thing herself (clocked 5.1 miles)! Lots of rocks and tree roots, nice people and dogs, only a few radios. Not nearly as bad as rattlesnake which I will never do on a weekend. Lovely day and nice trail!!
