It was a nice hike and terribly crowded. My only complaint is that some jerk(s) left paper cranes EVERYWHERE on the trail/in the trees. I’m assuming they are meant to have some meaning of hope, but I live by “leave no trace,” and found them distracting and invasive.

HOT 'N' MUGGY.
I arrived shortly after 11am and parked in the main lot. The smoke was moderate. The weather was also warm with little breeze, so we got very sweaty. Climbed at World Wall, check out @deannamolenda on Instagram to check out the hard work she's putting in.

Arrived at the trailhead around 7:15 on Sunday morning and snagged one of the last spots in the main lot. All of the trail is shaded and there are a few rock climbing access points along the main trail-- no views but a fun challenge to scramble up to. The ascent took about 1.5 hours and the lower forest was dark and gloomy at this time of day, so cresting the last switchback where the sunlight finally breaks through the trees was magical. On the descent there were people of all ages coming up, and the rock climbers had started to congregate. We were back at the trailhead before 11:00.
