As my previous hike was done quicker than I anticipated, I thought of checking out Murhut Falls too. This waterfall has been on my list for a long time, Glad today I could go and see its beauty.

The Duckabush road from Hwy 101 is almost 7.5 miles to the TH.
first 4 miles is paved, next 3.5 miles is a gravel road; full of potholes.
Just drive slow, should be fine!

I only tracked on my way back from the Waterfall, tracked 1.3 miles one way!
It was raining when I reached the Falls, and everything was extremely slippery! I somehow made it to the lower viewpoint to set up my tripod and get a good glimpse of this magnificent beauty.

So many mushrooms on the trail, The white one (2nd pic) caught my attention.. I've never seen this one before!
According to Gemini, it is a White dome cap.
please correct me, If that's wrong in the comments!

We weren’t able to make it to the trailhead. I don’t know when the last time the road to the trail was maintained, but our Forester made it over a small landslide, several washouts, and a fallen tree before my kids became distressed at how the road was “dissolving” into the foliage.

It was close enough to evening with some storm clouds rolling in that we decided it wasn’t worth getting stranded overnight and managed to get turned around and headed back.

No obstacles on the short, level hike to the falls. Only ten to twelve people on the trail and the weather was perfect. Easy conclusion to a couple days on the Olympic Peninsula.

The trail was easy, cleared, and fresh Huckleberrys and blackberries to snack on the way.

Waterfall was as beautiful as always. you can hike up the wall to get to the first level of the fall. very easy. Also hung a rope on the fall right of wall for those who would rather climb up with help.

If your looking for a swim hole and the waterfall swim experience. on your way back when leaving the mail waterfall about 50 feet on the left you will see a trail. stay to the right and you will see 3 s.all waterfalls flowing. There is a nice swim hole there or go 100 feet and hike down but be careful and make sure you are wearing good shoes or you will slide. But there is a big swimming hole with another waterfall .
