We weren’t able to make it to the trailhead. I don’t know when the last time the road to the trail was maintained, but our Forester made it over a small landslide, several washouts, and a fallen tree before my kids became distressed at how the road was “dissolving” into the foliage.
It was close enough to evening with some storm clouds rolling in that we decided it wasn’t worth getting stranded overnight and managed to get turned around and headed back.

TPearson on Murhut Falls
The Mount Rose Trail Crew went up to Murhut on Monday. The road was fine with the usual potholes. The trailhead is 1.2 miles from the sign just after you cross the Duckabush river. However the trailhead sign had been stolen, so the trail was not obvious unless you knew it. Apparently you went way beyond the trailhead, or were on the wrong road. Try again, it's a nice trail.
