Good hike with good views. Elevation gain is more than what's stated. Couple switch backs on the hike but not to terrible

I've included 2min of video highlights below.  Great leg stretcher as I was heading home on the North Cascades Highway.  The creek and forest are beautiful.  Although partially blocked by trees, the views from the Knob itself are worthwhile.  Lots of snow up higher still!

Road & Trail are fine.  The Knob's switchbacks are gentle and there are plenty of benches along the way which makes it a great family trail.

This is second time doing this hike. I recommend it. The trail is beautiful and the views are worth it. Everything is so green and lush right now. The creek is very full! The parking situation is a bit better from last report. There is still a no park zone but room for maybe 10 cars at least.

Parking lot for trailhead is closed until Saturday June 24 6am. There is room for 3 cars at the opposite side of the road. Parking in the colonial campground seems reserved for campers.

The trail itself has new growth and a lot of downed trees to see, no downed trees on path though. Beautiful at the top though. The trailhead speaks of a foot bridge being absent but that is not the case anywhere on the trail. All footbridges were in place for easy creek crossings.

Nicely maintained trail! A variety of flat, rolling, and switchbacks. Some great views of the North Cascades and Lake Diablo. Log benches to enjoy those views! A few wildflowers but more will show up with summer warmth.
