Parking lot for trailhead is closed until Saturday June 24 6am. There is room for 3 cars at the opposite side of the road. Parking in the colonial campground seems reserved for campers.
The trail itself has new growth and a lot of downed trees to see, no downed trees on path though. Beautiful at the top though. The trailhead speaks of a foot bridge being absent but that is not the case anywhere on the trail. All footbridges were in place for easy creek crossings.

I believe the footbridge is removed in the winter to prevent it from being washed out. It's the one over the large creek that runs thru the campground.
