Lovely wilderness trail. Good for a hot day because mostly in shade of trees. Reached the top and it's a small open space with a bench. Some mosquitos - only found me when I stopped for breaks. Popular trail, saw plenty of other people but wasn't crowded.

Just as others have noted, this is a beautiful, forested trail; the trail is in great condition; there is a bench at the peak but no view other than trees. Because I needed to hike midday on a warm day, appreciated the abundant shade. Mosquitoes at the peak prevented me from sitting down for lunch, but weren't bothersome while I was hiking or at a lower spot where I stopped for a snack. Hiking from 1:30 to 4:30 (slow pace!) on a Tuesday afternoon, I saw 2 other parties on my way up and 4 on my way back down. It seems the trailhead may be even more of a break-in risk these days than some others. There is a sign up that promises video surveillance. I saw broken glass and little bits of car debris on the ground, e.g., earbuds. As I was wrapping up, a car pulled through and dropped off another hiker. She told me that she was being dropped off because her car has been broken into twice there in the last month. I left my car visibly empty with glove box and console open, and I didn't have any trouble.

Arrived at he well signed trailhead at 8AM to a mostly full parking lot (holds ~10 cars). The trail itself is mostly uphill through forest, with the trail narrowing and widening as you ascend. The uphill climb is not too strenuous and there are stretches of flat trail. No views, lots of forest cover and slugs for the loop. This is a hike best suited for a cloudy, rainy day.

Arrived at the trailhead at 3:45pm and saw no more than four other people the entire hike. We did the Wilderness Creek loop with a side trip to Long VIew Peak viewpoint. The trail was in good condition and a bit steeper than I expected, but there is no view on the trail. There's just the woods, which is fine, but not exactly what I'd been hoping for. This trail would probably be better suited for a rainy day, when the foliage is more vivid and there aren't so many bugs. The loop and the side trip took about two hours and 45 minutes at a slow pace.

Hiked Wednesday afternoon and saw no more than four people on the trail. Great hike if looking for some seclusion at the expense of mountain views. Some mosquitoes but nothing burdensome.
