Perfect day to go up Dirty Harry's Peak. Clear skies and views from the top.
A bit of snow near the Balcony turnoff and progressively more as you go up. We stayed in just boots / poles till 3500ft. At that point it was a bit steep and spikes were helpful.
This hike saves the steepest part for the end but there's a nice packed down bootpath all the way to the top so not too bad.
There's one really good, safe spot to look out over Granite basin and we sat there for a bit. You can continue on a bit farther but it does get little close to the edge for my comfort.
Lots of deer tracks and we spooked one grouse as well.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pix until we'd descended to the Balcony. So here's the details that matter:
Snow starting soon above balcony
Snow packed down on trail until summit. Spikes are plenty and you won't need to break trail until the next snowfall.
You're probably going to want microspikes by turn-off for Harry's Balcony, unless you go later in day then we did or after snow conditions change. If you're wearing stiffer mountaineering boots, then spikes may go on later, after the rocky sections and may be after turnoff for Ira Spring Connector.
Double poles handy, esp. for descent when snow.
This morning, when we left parking lot at 8am, still less than half full. Descending, until we reached balcony, saw maybe 12 - 14 people going up. So go early and go above the Balcony, and even this sunny weekend is remarkably crowd-free.
1 tree decided to drop some snow right when I was passing under. Whatever the weather, hat and long sleeves are good.
Snow conditions change with the weather, so your mileage may vary.

Arrived at the trailhead at 8:45am this morning and there were a handful of cars, lots of folks arriving. We saw a good number of other hikers as we approached the fork going to Dirty Harry's Balcony, but only two people the rest of the way to the peak. The creek crossing was a little tricky, we managed with waterproof boots and poles. As we neared the peak hail began and continued the rest of the way, there was zero visibility at the top but still a good workout. It was nice to see snow starting to stick to the trees up top. The hail continued the whole way down and covered most of the trail.

Arrived at the trailhead at 8am on Saturday. The parking lot was about half full and plenty of room along the road. The restroom was open and stocked with toilet paper. Headed up to the peak. There is about 6” of snow at the top. We didn’t point on microspikes, but considered it on the way down as it was slippery. There was one section where we lost the trail due to overgrown/downed branches and snow, and had to route find our way back, but it was obvious on the way down. Made it to the peak by 10:30am, and after chilling at the top for about 30 minutes, made it back to the parking lot before 1pm. The lot was packed with vehicles down the road a ways.

Trip too the peak was nice and easy. The trail near the peak has some overgrowth but the trail is still very visible. Recommend clothing to cover limbs when walking through the growth. Got a few cuts from some branches scraping against me.
Parking fills up fast. Glad my friend and I got there early around 8:30 AM. The lot was full and parking overflowed around noon when we returned.
