Beware of: trail conditions

Definitely print out a map of the park from Snohomish county's website before you go. The mileage markers in the park are distance from the trailhead, so are very confusing. Also, there are many trails not marked on the map. Prepare to wander. Due to tree growth, we saw nothing from the viewpoint on West View Trail. However, the other viewpoint on the map, on one of many "Pipeline Cutoff" trails, was spectacular. There were many muddy spots and some water run-off (we hadn't had rain for a few days when we went). Near Temple Pond and Beaver Lake we encountered a few bugs, but they didn't bite. There were a few horses and lots of families enjoying this park on a beautiful Friday.

Nice short hike with beautiful, lush foliage throughout. Lord Hill felt like an exotic rainforest.

Great little walk. Close to home but once on the walking trails I'm able to get enough of my forest fix. No real views to speak of but just a nice little place to get out and smell the earth and listen to the birds. It's a pretty popular trail and seems to be rather busy no matter when I go, which has always been early afternoon during the week. My dog and I were passed by a few mountain bikers and several small groups or couples. No horses but there were signs on them. ;)

Walked several of the loops at Lord Hill Park on this beautiful, sunny, Sunday morning. Total distance about 5 miles, just shy of 1000 gross vertical with all the ups and downs. Lots of folks out doing the same thing. Had a couple unfortunate run ins with off leash dogs, (one resulting in me nearly getting bit no thanks to the owner,) but did not let that spoil the walk. The first hatching of gnats must have just happened, a sure sign of spring, and I inhaled a few - >hack< >wheeze<. the="" views="" off="" southern="" view="" point="" are="" really="" nice="" one="" of="" better="" close="" in="" spots="" snohomish="" county.="" there="" sure="" isn="" much="" snow="" on="" anything="" but="" baker="" glacier="" and="" tops="" higher="" olympics.="" we="" had="" an="" adult="" raven="" pair="" playing="" breeze="" making="" all="" their="" funny="" speak="" not="" just="" more="" frequent="">grok,grok<. one="" other="" quick="" fyi="" there="" are="" more="" new="" trails="" on="" the="" east="" side="" of="" park="" that="" don="" appear="" to="" be="" official="" map="" yet="" nicely="" built="" but="" can="" cause="" a="" bit="" confusion="" opportunity="" just="" wander="" around="" longer.="">

It was a great trail. Not much incline but it was good to see the ponds and the items in the map. Great for running, mountain biking and horses! Snow free but had bugs out
