Walked the large, exterior loop around Redmond Watershed from the south parking lot Friday morning. The lot is open and had just a few other cars at 9:30 though fairly busy when we left about 11:30. The restrooms are open and in good condition, with the requisite covid19 warnings. Do note - no pets at this particular reserve, (other than horses.) Looks like the City of Redmond has had some issues with pet owners recently. The trails are in great shape, brushed back and nearly no mud even this early in the year. All users we saw were very respectful of covid19 concerns. A few folks had masks, most without - we did not use ours.
The watershed continues to be a big, beautiful, easily accessible chunk of green. A great place to go for a short walk or a longer “forest bathing session” or whatever the new name for it is. The forest and several ponds are a buzz with bird life. Or just stop and listen to one of the creeks trickle by. What a joy it is to get out of the house in such a beautiful place.
Great hike close to Seattle. Hiked this with my wife on 3/21/2020. Nice 40 degree weather with clouds but (thankfully) no rain. We hiked north on the Trillium Trail and then back south along the Siler's Mill Trail for about a 4.5 mile loop. The trail was well maintained and dry after a solid week without any rain. Nice to see a good number of people making use of the trails, from equestrian users to mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. Saw some Skunk Cabbage just starting to come up in the Redmond Reservoir and a few other flowers along the way. Also saw some ground squirrels snacking on nuts, and even a busy beaver swimming across one of the ponds! All in all, a pretty satisfying day on trail without having to go very far!

The Redmond watershed preserve was a beautiful hike I went on with a companion last Sunday. We got views of mossy trees and foliage plus walked by a beautiful pond area that was a great view. It snowed a ton on this hike, plus with the already existing snow on the ground I recommend waterproof shoes with wool socks with waterproof layers and a hat. Weather conditions shifted from snow to hail to rain within minutes so be prepared for anything wet and cold! Other than that, trails were clear. No pets allowed but with Low incline and multiple trail length options it would be a great hike for families with young kids.

I went on this hike with my girlfriend on January 12, 2020 because we forgot to do a hike earlier this semester for our final in outdoor adventures. On the day we went, there was heavy snowfall on the trail that caused a slush, resulting in a slippery and difficult experience. With the slush on the trail, the hike took us longer than a short hike like this one usually would, but overall it was pretty fun. I definitely recommend this hike but would check the weather for rain or snow as these conditions could both cause problems with this trail
