Walked the large, exterior loop around Redmond Watershed from the south parking lot Friday morning. The lot is open and had just a few other cars at 9:30 though fairly busy when we left about 11:30. The restrooms are open and in good condition, with the requisite covid19 warnings. Do note - no pets at this particular reserve, (other than horses.) Looks like the City of Redmond has had some issues with pet owners recently. The trails are in great shape, brushed back and nearly no mud even this early in the year. All users we saw were very respectful of covid19 concerns. A few folks had masks, most without - we did not use ours.
The watershed continues to be a big, beautiful, easily accessible chunk of green. A great place to go for a short walk or a longer “forest bathing session” or whatever the new name for it is. The forest and several ponds are a buzz with bird life. Or just stop and listen to one of the creeks trickle by. What a joy it is to get out of the house in such a beautiful place.
