Took my first hike up this lovely trail -- highly recommend! Great 360 degree mountain views at the top and some fun ones along the way. It's a short thigh-burning hike with a great payoff. The last part is a bit steep, so wouldn't recommend if you're wearing a child in backpack, but otherwise should be fine for a variety of hikers. The metal twine at the end makes the final scramble much easier. Took me about an hour and 15 mins up and an hour back down. I went on a mid-week morning and only saw 3 other hikers. Definitely one I'll return to!

Got to the trailhead about 9am and there were five or six cars parked along the road. About fifteen cars when we got back down about noon.
Hiked with a five year old human and three year old dog. Both were pretty tired at the top, but plenty of spots to sit and have a snack on the way up if needed. Lots of room at the top to rest and enjoy the view.
Steep in places but we'll maintained with no obstacles.

Loved this quick trail! I have been meaning to do it for awhile and finally made it out. The road isn't too bad, just keep your eyes out for a few potholes. The entire trail roundtrip is less than 4 miles, closer to 3 and around 1,300 feet elevation gain. We got a few huckleberries, but most have been picked and only some small, unripe ones remain.
The views at the top are incredible, and the trail itself was relaxing and gorgeous winding through the forest with some wonderful sneak peek views on your way to the top. The last ten feet of the trail are very steep and there is a metal cable for you to pull yourself up with. I will be doing this hike again!

We only went to the ridgetop, which is plenty for beautiful views on both sides of the mountain. Not much to report, except that there were almost no bugs. Tons of huckleberries in the woods from the base all the way to the top. Also, as noted in other reports, the road is in beautiful shape all the way to the trailhead but gets very gnarly just beyond. Hooray for FS grading!

The actual parking spots across the TH fit about 3 cars, but cars started to park on the side of the road as well.
We started the hike at 7:30 and back around 10:30 (includes sitting at the summit and having a snack).
Amazing trail with gorgeous views of the cascades! Only saw about 4 groups. When you approach the “last 20ft til the summit” that folks mention, I suggest taking the route on the left to go up because the cable and rocks are helpful. On the way down, take the route on the far left (the route on the right if you’re looking up/going up to the summit). Easier to go down, especially with a pup!
have so much fun, take in the views, and remember to LNT! (:
