I stopped at several locations in the area as well as the Welts Samish Restoration trail head. There were lots of birds out and lots of birders enjoying the raptors.The birds and excellent weather in a rain shadow brought people out. There are no obstacles on the trails but rubber boots are a must since you may encounter water several inches deep.

Nice photos. I'm glad you were able to get the picture of the Heron in flight.

Thanks. I saw lots of owls but they were to far away. The photos I did get make them look like wrens.
