We climbed Teanaway Butte today. Parked the car at the 29 Pines turnaround, then hiked up the snow covered Jungle Creek road. At 4+ miles, where the Way Creek trail meets the road, we headed SSW up a steep ridge until we reached the saddle below the summit. Another short, steep stretch and we arrived. Great views of several Teanaway peaks.
We brought snowshoes, but never put them on. We did put traction on our boots for the climb up from the road.
Reversed the route back to the car. 11+ miles, 2200' of elevation gain, 6.5 hours.
