Went out to stretch the legs in fresh powder with the dog. I only completed about half the hike, as I was not planning on being out for much more than an hour. The trail is easy to follow the tracks if those who hiked before through the snow. There are a few spots where the ice is quite bad under the snow. I had crampons and did not put them on, but did take 1 tumble (nothing serious). Micro spikes would be ideal for the current conditions. There are a few trees down on the trail nothing difficult to get over.
