Calligan Lake — Wednesday, Apr. 15, 2020

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

As per the last post 11 years ago... Westward views of the Snoqualmie Valley all the way to the Olympics provide a candid perspective.  The beer cans have been cleaned up but the Loon sign remains at the beach access ditch.  A Campbell Global pass is now required but recreation pass is only about $60.  I parked about 5.5 mi from the lake and completed the trip out and back in a little less than 2 hours, running most of the approach and back. I understand this lake is stocked by WDFW with Rainbow trout and intend to find out.

If you're looking for a serious challenge, Boomerang, Paperboy, Goat and other less known peaks are highly available via a logging road leading about 800ft below the summit block. If you get to Boomerang with a bushwhack then several other peaks required for the Homecourt 100 are well within reach.  Most folks come from Middle Fork/Si but this makes things a lot easier.

Recreation Pass Required via sqrecreation.com -- cheers, WTA :)qQ
