Snow still covers about 30 percent of this trail, especially around Beaver Lake, which is the first lake you’ll get to. No snowshoes needed because the snow is packed, but be careful of postholes.
The rest of the trail is really muddy and really wet, so you’ll want to wear high top GoreTex shoes if you have them.
The trailhead at the west end of the parking lot still has a lot of show on it and is hard to follow, but if you just park closer to the resort and walk up the road near the Cascade Ski School, you will easily intersect the PCT.
There were very few people out so it was easy to practice physical distancing.
5.1 miles in about 2 hours, 45 minutes. We had a small child and dog with us.
