Skagit Wildlife Area — Sunday, Jun. 14, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area

This was our first time at Skagit Wildlife Refuge. I found it to be extremely peaceful and beautiful. It really doesn't feel like the PNW here to me, more like the Outer Banks in North Carolina or the Everglades in Florida. That made it feel especially magical. Sooo many birds to look for, even eaglets! The trail is completely flat, making for an easy hike for all abilities and ages. Be sure to take time to stop and just listen to the beautiful sounds here when you visit.
