West Hylebos Wetlands — Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

Beautiful place to explore with my little one. Not far from the parking area you quickly get lost in dense, green trees and the sounds of frogs. Great interpretive signage about the wetlands and surrounding wildlife.

Very easy to find—right off of S 348 in Federal Way. Parking was very easy too. The boardwalk is slippery—especially now in the fall with wet leaves. So we had to use caution while walking—which can be a little challenging for a 3 year old.

We didn’t make it very far—distance wise. But it is quite a lovely place to just be and escape for an afternoon.
