Wear waterproof shoes - this one's wet. Lots of stream crossings and the trail is a creek at parts. The rocks and logs of the stream crossings are frozen/slippery, and poles would be helpful. There are 2-3 inches of snow on the trail at the most and it is slick, though we made do without traction. The trail is not easy to follow! We got lost a couple times and that was with a boot path. When in doubt, the correct path is probably up the creek. Some snow on the road in but no need for chains yet. 8.4mi, 2000ft elevation gain
