Ethan & I took a walk up the Oak Creek Road today. We started at Hwy 12 and walked up to Pine Tree Canyon and found a place in the sun for lunch. At the highway there was a dusting of snow from the storm last night and 1/4 - 1/2 inch where we stopped, though much of the road was snow free. We lazed in the sun for maybe an hour, then headed back. It had started to cloud up some by this time. The oaks were still very nice, though who knows how long they will last. The road is still open and there was a fair amount of traffic, though no other hikers. We got back to the cars about 2:15, so I drove up to Bear Canyon and walked 1/4 mile or so up the canyon. This time of year it's mostly in shade. The oaks here were very nice as well.

Thank you for the report and nice photos! The oaks are beautiful! Again I wish we were closer so we could come see them in person!
