Did this hike with a friend. We arrived around 10 am and there were cars parked quite far down the road. The road was in fine condition and we made it up easily enough in a coupe. The first 1/3 or so of the trail was snow-free and the rest of the trail was covered in snow. I used spikes, but my friend didn't and he was good except for a few slips and one fall. We're college students though so it was okay. On the way up, there were a lot of groups coming down and a few heading up with us. Stopped at Talapus lake for a little and the lake was frozen over so we wandered out a little bit. Then we headed up to Olallie lake which was less crowded. We stopped there for lunch and hung out for a few hours. There are tons of good lunch spots all along the lake. Headed back down and didn't pass many parties on the way down. We made it back around 3:00pm. All in all this hike was great and really beautiful in the snow. Pretty much everyone wore a mask as well, which was great.
