Trip Report

Tin Cup Joe Falls — Saturday, Apr. 3, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Officially: The Middle Fork Trail 1003 is 100% closed from February 2021- February 2022. Getting to Cripple Creek requires use of trail 1003.

22 of us braved this trail in April 2021. It is very very difficult to go through the blowdowns which are covered in snow.  As a solo hiker, this is one trail I don't recommend doing alone. The opportunity for breaking a foot is high.

Just curious— if 1003 was closed, where did y’all park? Was planning on exploring there so thanks for taking a pic of the notice!

Parked at Dingford Creek TH,which is the end of FSR 5620 (takes 40 minutesto drive 6 miles), walked downhill, crossed bridge over Middle Fork Snoqualmie River, turned right onto trail 1003, walked past the closed sign. About a mile later, you will cross a bridge over Cripple Creek and that's where the adventure really begins. Be careful. No cell service and trail route is NOT easy. Recommend you download AllTrails so you can reference it multiple times.
