These two "hikes" are really just nature walks, but paired together they make for a nice half-day on the Duckabush River.
Like most forest roads these days, the Duckabush Road is horribly potholed. Mercifully, the road is short and should be fine for any car, just take it easy. Both trails are in good shape with minimal mud, so sneakers should be okay if that is your footwear of choice. The last part of Ranger Hole Trail is quite steep as it descends 100 feet to the river. One can easily imagine the rangers bathing here on hot summer days.
Trilliums are up!
