Hiked to the Park Butte lookout on May 31. We had to park about 1.2 miles from the trailhead due to snow on the road. The most difficult parts of the climb were the steep forested sections where the trail switchbacks, because the trail was still completely buried by snow, and we had to constantly use AllTrails to navigate and stay on course. Crampons highly recommended. Took 4.5 hours up, 2.5 hours down. It was definitely worth it though, having the whole upper part of the hike and the lookout covered in white and all to yourself is fantastic!
