Arrived at trailhead this morning (Sunday) about 8am, maybe a couple cars but otherwise clear. Easy to navigate to “Pack Forest” using google maps (hwy 7 south) from Tacoma. Parked at entrance where you can pull your car into parking spots. There’s an o.k. portapotty right inside the gate. Follow the instructions of a map to the 1000 road, past some admin bldgs. You’ll know you’re on the right path of you walk around another gate with a lot of various signs. (This can be confusing if you’ve never been so have a map pulled up if you’re not sure)

Easy path - gravel most of the way, follow to the cut off road (blue diamond on tree) and FALLS sign. Once on the actual trail it can be very muddy but it wasn’t this morning before the rain. (I actually brought hiking poles in case it was muddy all the way). We visited all the falls: upper, middle, and then lower. I think you could skip upper, if you were running short on time. Chatted with other hikers and had a snack at the lower falls before hiking back out and then walking down the same road back.

Not many hikers on the way out, and there was still parking at the entrance. (It was also sporadically raining a bit more, too). I love this hike for the ease to get here (about an hour from Tacoma), and of course, the beautiful waterfalls.
