Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
Adventure-dog approved fun along Watson Creek in the Olympic National Forest. Photo by Jim Clagett.

Remarkably pretty hike, with sweet sections along the Hamma Hamma River, and among second-growth forest. It's a short one, so probably not worth a long drive in and of itself, but if you're staying at the Hamma Hamma or Lena Creek campgrounds, or are wanting to tag on a leg stretcher, this is a wonderful loop. Dog and kid-friendly! *Hint: If you're not one for primitive campsites, you can rent the CCC-built Hamma Hamma cabin and stay in the woods near this lovely little trail in total comfort and seclusion.
