Quick stop along Stevens Canyon Road. Great spot to stretch your legs, use the restrooms, tons of parking spots. Driving west there's a huge sign and the lot is your left. Super clear sunny day, on the lookout on the left side we could see Mt. Adams, and on the right side, Mt. Rainier.
Crossed the street and walked counter clockwise around the short loop, pausing to stare at the Cowlitz River rushing below the bridge. When you reach a split in the trails, stay to the left to continue on the flat trail, which will quickly take you back to the street near the tunnel. I believe the right trail connects to the Wonderland trail. Then you can cross back to the parking lot. Done in 10-15 minutes!
