Trip Report

Talapus and Olallie Lakes — Saturday, Jun. 26, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Lake Talapus

Arrived at trailhead just before 7AM, lot was already full (found many tents when we reached Olallie lake) parked on side the side of road. The forrest road is in terrible condition, a lot of potholes, dust and loose gravel. We were able to reach the trailhead in a Prius :p

The trail was in good condition except for 2-3 spots with mud / water and fallen tree blocking the path. All of the trail is in shade of tall trees, we didn't even feel the unusually hot temperatures until we returned to trailhead around 10AM.

It got pretty crowded on our way back, parking and getting out got particularly terrible when people were blocking the road, after making U turn on trailhead waiting for closer spots to free up rather than pulling ahead (only lane left after overflow parking on one side of the road)
