Would recommend a weekday for this one. We saw about 300 people on the trail today. About 75% of dogs were off-leash. Parking lot was a nightmare. Lake was pretty though!
Bugs were not too noticeable until getting to the lake, if you're planning on spending some time there definitely consider bringing some bug spray.
