This is always a great option for when the weather's not ideal in the mountains, but you still need to get some beautiful sights in. A few potholes in the road but nothing crazy and easily avoided for any car. We got lucky with still conditions and gorgeous lake reflections. We went clockwise along the paved sections, then trail, boardwalk, and across two charming bridges overlooking the water. As far as paths go this is flat and easy, but for those with a wheelchair or stroller, there are a few bumpy/rooty spots. The wildflowers are looking a bit past their prime, but there is still plenty of fireweed and pearly everlasting brightening up the banks, especially around the halfway point. There were definitely bugs but we sprayed and were fine. The pines and cedars smelled absolutely amazing the whole way.
