Did a fun beginning of the week backpack with friends with the focus being on creating art. We had a lovely time, the lake is low and we were able to spend most of our time on the 'beach' area. The trail in was in excellent condition and the forest had a magical feel with the sun filtering through the trees. At the lake, the view of Baring Mountain was incredible. Bugs were not a bother at all, which was a nice surprise right now as all of my other lake hikes have had overwhelming amounts lately. Our group found a great big campsite and had plenty of room to spread out multiple tents. This is one I would recommend to first time backpackers and little's alike.
