Garfield Ledges — Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Taking a break on the stone chair.

Headed out here on a Thursday afternoon, right after lunch. As others have mentioned, the final stretch of road after the bridge is littered with huge potholes. Low-clearance cars will have to take this section very slowly.

The trailhead/parking lot has a number of picnic tables set up right next to the river and the bathrooms were in great shape. Will definitely consider just visiting this spot for a picnic in the future.

Upon arrival there was only one car parked at the trailhead. Hiked up the trail with 5yr old and dog in tow. Overall, this is such pleasant hike. Cool boulders, moss on trees, etc. The trail is in great condition. There are stairs during a stretch which are helpful, both for walking and resting. The view is really nice for such an easy hike.

We encountered some fun wildlife while on the trail, including some interesting beetles, slugs, and a small snake.

Overall, it took us 1.75hrs to go up and back down (the 5yr old was interested in testing out seating on many, many rocks/trees throughout the hike...).

At the top.
