Sunrise Nature — Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021

Completed a sunrise hike with a group of friends on the Sunrise Nature Loop! We arrived at the Sunrise Visitor Center parking lot by 5:30am and it was busier than we expected but still less than half full. We started at the trailhead at 6am and the sun finally peaked out over the mountains at about 6:50an. Despite the parking lot being busy we had the entire loop to ourselves so we could stop and take in the sights and truly enjoy the experience which was nice. The sunrise was gorgeous and there was a spot to stop and sit so that we could watch and enjoy a snack. I put on bug spray but still encountered a few patches of bugs but they were just a minor annoyance nothing awful.
