Heather - Maple Pass Loop — Sunday, Sep. 26, 2021

Finally made it out to this popular trail. Got here at 7:15 on a Sunday with most of the parking lot still available but filling up very quickly. We decided to do the hike counter clockwise. The weather was a bit cloudy but never rained on us once and we got some amazing views. We hiked a little over a mile before the turnoff for Lake Ann, we made the trip down to the lake and enjoyed the views for a little bit. Fall colors are amazing right now! After Lake Ann it was pretty steady incline all the way up to the pass. Larches are starting to turn and it’s beautiful. Views from the top of the pass are unworldly. Was very surprised at how little people were on the pass considering it’s the weekend. Now is the time to come check this hike out! 10/10!
