Annette Lake — Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Annett Lake with fall colors

My car (Honda CR-V) was among the 10 or so cars in the parking lot when I arrived just after 8:00 on a Sunday morning. I came back to the trailhead and there were easily 60 cars. Yet the trail did not feel crowded, which I was very happy about as I chose this non-larch-y trail to ensure I don't encounter madness. Yet the lake was beautiful & I enjoyed some fall leaves along the trail & on the face of another mountain nearby. It stayed overcast and cool the entire time, with some misty rain. I felt that the majority of people I encountered were courteous and somewhat experienced with hikes.

Mileage: 7.8 miles from the parking lot and back (including a little extra excursion around the lake)
Elevation gain: 2043 ft

This may be my pup's favorite hike so far! His person also appreciates the mostly soft surfaces, except for some scree fields higher up.
The TH sign says that there's a toilet facility near the lake, but I didn't see it. I did see a few campsites and they looked to be in good conditions. I would try backpacking here if given an opportunity.
