Cool hike! Larches are spectacular on the drive up to the trailhead. There's some color from the trail itself, but it's not a foliage-heavy hike in general since it's through the burnt out area. Be aware that the trail is extremely sandy and has loose rocks. Still worth it!! 360 panoramic views, and I love that you can see all the way to the Columbia River valley.
