Trip Report

Middle Fork Snoqualmie River — Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
We hiked from the Middle Fork Snoqualmie TH to Cripple Creek Falls, which were quite lovely. Just a short distance after that bridge is a little waterfall that makes a nice lunch spot.
The trail is in generally good shape but very muddy in places that are quite slick. We also found 2 creek crossings to be quite challenging due to high water. Poles and waterproof boots are very helpful. That said, my husband was up to his knees in one creek helping people cross safely. It wasn’t too bad going out, but the creeks had risen by the time we came back after lunch. I led the same hike 2 weeks ago and it was a big difference. If it continues to rain, the creeks may be impassable.
There is short section of the road that is badly potholed. Otherwise, the road is in great shape.

NOV. 11 UPDATE: There are now flood warnings for the river.
