Under "snow conditions" it would be more accurate to say that the trail was is covered the whole way including Sares Head, but not difficult to hike on. There was about two to three inches and we both wore boot traction. It just seemed to make life easier. The temperature was twenty eight degrees and the snow was very dry-didn't even stick to our boots. Fox Pond is frozen over and mostly snow covered.
This was an alternate hike as we had planned to go to the Bowman Bay area but Deception Pass Park is closed. We noted more than the usual amount of vehicles in the Pass Lake parking lot since the lake was frozen. It appears that they were walking from there into the park.
Highway-20 was clear of snow and ice but Rosario Road still had compact snow and ice but very drivable if you use a little caution.

What a treat to see your pictures of a hike I've done many times, but never in the snow, awesome!

This was first time hiking there in the snow. I have been there in all seasons to experience the changes and the snow transformed it into an added dimension.
