High Hut Snowshoe — Friday, Jan. 28, 2022

Arrive around 8:30am to an empty lot. There is a bathroom at the lower lot as well as much at the hut. I used my micro spikes and poles instead of my snowshoes which was a good choice. The snow had a bit of an ice layer so the spikes helped to keep from slipping. Took me about 2 hours to get to the top. The last mile is where you truly feel the burn in your thighs. All the mountains were out today! The weather was perfect! I had the hut all to myself until around 12 or 12:30. The bathroom at the top is so clean! Glad to have finally check this one off the list!
