Hiked today and was surprised by how much snow covered the trail. I wish I would have grabbed my spikes to cross the avalanche fields and over a few slippery parts. My friend and I ended up each using a pole which provided just enough stability on the hike back to the car. I really look forward to doing this again in summer!
